Legoland Hotel

Legoland’s first hotel property in the United States. GS Associates visited the Windsor, UK property to understand the design and operations agenda, then documented the FF&E and OS&E as it translated to US and Asia manufacturing and US standards. Every room required custom layout of digital wallcovering and carpet so the graphics displayed accurately. Completed for Merlin Entertainments two months early and under budget.

Bringing a UK design concept to a US property meant translating specifications across manufacturing bases in the US and Asia while holding to US standards. On top of that, every room carried custom digital wallcovering and carpet whose graphics had to be laid out precisely, room by room, or the artwork would not read correctly.

The design and operations agenda originated at the Legoland Windsor property in the UK, which our team visited firsthand, then documented and translated for US and Asia manufacturing and US standards on behalf of owner Merlin Entertainments.

We handled the FF&E and OS&E procurement end to end: reconciling the UK reference design to US and Asia manufacturing, and managing the custom digital wallcovering and carpet layouts that had to be correct in every room.

Through disciplined sourcing, value engineering, and expediting, we kept the program ahead of schedule and inside the budget.
