Overview

Andaz Miami Beach is a $100 million reinvention of Mid-Beach’s Confidante hotel into the Andaz brand’s Florida debut on Collins Avenue. Across 287 guestrooms and 64 suites, EoA Group and Hyatt’s lifestyle design studio traded hard lines for the undulating curves of the ocean, in a coastal palette of plush textures and warm, livable detail.

GS Associates delivered the FF&E procurement for the transformation, from the curved seating and suites to the pools, spa, and beach-club spaces.

The Challenge

A brand debut carries a design language that has to read consistently from the lobby to the last suite. The curved, ocean-inspired forms at the heart of the concept meant a large share of custom and value-engineered pieces, each of which had to be sourced, sampled, and approved without letting a single long-lead item quietly set the schedule for the whole property.

The Design Team

Interior design was led by EoA Group together with Hyatt’s in-house lifestyle design studio, who set the coastal palette and the undulating, curve-forward furniture language that defines the guest experience.

Our Scope

Working as the owner’s purchasing agent, we sourced and bought the full FF&E package: guestroom and suite furnishings, the curved lounge and lobby seating, and the furnishings for the pools, spa, and beach-club amenity spaces.

From competitive bidding through sample approvals, production, and expediting, every item was tracked against the design intent and the opening schedule, so custom pieces landed to standard and on time.

The Outcome

The finished hotel delivers the Andaz brand’s first Florida expression: a warm, texture-rich coastal retreat whose curved forms carry the ocean inside, from the guestrooms to the beach club.
